One person was killed in a violence in Varkaus, a municipality in Eastern Finland late Friday night, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place at about 8:00 p.m. inside a detached house when the victim came under attack and sustained serious wounds.
Responding to an alarm police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and tried to resuscitate the victim but the victim succumbed to the injuries on the spot.
Police found several marks on injuries at different parts of the body on the deceased.
They also arrested two people in connection with the murder from the house.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the victim and the suspects and their relation at the initial stage of the investigation.
Police said that the circumstance of the incident remained unclear.
They are investigating into the incident as murder.
