
The popularity of the ruling Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) has dropped to its lowest level in the last five years while the support for the main opposition Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) remained on the top, according to the latest poll commissioned by a leading Finnish language national daily Helsingin Sanomat.
The SDP remained on the top with 23.8% popularity, which is about 7% higher than the popularity of Kokoomus.
Kokoomus secured second position with 16.7% popularity followed by another component of the four-party alliance government radical rightist Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) with 14.2% support.
Another opposition Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party of Finland) secured fourth position with 13.7% support, followed by opposition Vasemmistoliitto (Left Alliance) with 11.5%.
The survey conducted by the research organisation Verian where more than 3,500 respondents took part through an online.
The margin of error is ±1.7 percentage points.
