Police on Monday arrested a man in connection with a murder took place on Sunday morning in Mikkeli, a municipality under South Savo region, said police in a press release.
Responding to an alarm from a bystander, police arrested the suspect from Mikkeli at about 7:00p.m.
Meanwhile, police said that the murder was related to a building fire that occurred at Tattalantie area in Mikkeli on that same morning.
The body of the victim was recovered from the debris of the gutted building.
Earlier on Sunday, police recovered a private car, which was stolen in connection with the murder.
Police recovered the green Citroen C3 Picasso car based on information given by the people.
The police, however, did not divulge detail about the incident and the identities of the deceased and the suspect at the preliminary stage of the investigation.
They are still collecting information and investigating into the incident as murder.
