One person was killed and another injured when a light plane crashed at Jämijärvi, a municipality in Western Finland under Satakunta region on Saturday morning, police said.
The accident took place at about 10:00 a.m. near Jämijärvi Airfield after the two-seater ultralight aircraft took off from the airfield.
The pilot, a middle-aged man was killed in the accident while the passenger was injured critically.
The injured person was taken to hospital.
Police, however, did not divulge the details identities of the deceased and the wounded person.
The reason behind the accident could not be known immediately and police are investigating into the accident to find out more information in this regard.
