Two people have drowned when a rubber boat and a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) capsized in the sea at Yyteri beach, near Pori, a municipality under Satakunta region late Saturday night, police said.
The accident took place at about 8:45 p.m. when a group of five people were moving in the sea by the rubber boat and SUP board.
At certain stage, the boat and the SUP capsized and the people sank into the water.
Although three people swam to the shore, two went missing.
Rescue service people, Coast Guard and Police conducted extensive search but failed to recover them till Saturday night until 11:00 p.m.
Later the bodies of the missing people were found on Sunday morning about 400 metres from the shore of Yyteri beach.
Both the deceased were men aged between 20 and 30 years.
Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of them.
Police are investigating into the incident to find out the reasons behind the deaths.
