President Alexander Stubb together with First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb will move to the Presidential Summer Residence Kultaranta in Naantali on May 30, said the President Office in a press release on Monday.
During the summer, the President will be working mainly at Kultaranta. The most significant event of the early summer season will be the Kultaranta Talks hosted by the on 16–17 June.
This summer, Kultaranta Park will feature a sculpture exhibition entitled Layers, organised in collaboration with the Alfred Kordelin Foundation.
The exhibition will open on Friday and will continue until 31 August.
The City of Naantali will host a welcome reception for the presidential couple at the Kilta jetty in the marina on Friday at 18.00. During the reception, Stubb and Innes-Stubb will also meet the people.
Following a two-year pause, the Naantali Music Festival is set to organise a park concert at Kultaranta. This year’s concert will take place on Friday 6 June. The concert will feature the Dallapé Orchestra with Juha Hostikka as its soloist. Founded in 1925, Dallapé is Europe’s longest-running entertainment orchestra and is now celebrating its 100th anniversary.
During the summer, visitors can enjoy free access to the Kultaranta garden and sculpture exhibition every Friday from 18.00 to 20.00.
Located on Luonnonmaa Island in Naantali, Kultaranta has been the summer residence of the President of Finland since 1920. The main building of Kultaranta, a granite castle completed in 1916, was commissioned by businessman and entrepreneur Alfred Kordelin and designed by architect Lars Sonck.
The Kultaranta estate includes a large park and a kitchen garden where flowers and vegetables are grown. Renovation work of the main building and park at Kultaranta was completed in October 2024.
