Police arrested on person on charge of attempted assault inside a metro at Otaniemi in Espoo on Monday, said police in a press release in the afternoon.
The incident took place when the suspect tried to attack one person with knife inside the metro service near Otaniemi station.
The targeted person, however, managed to escape the attack.
Responding to an alarm, police rushed to the spot and arrested the suspect from the nearby area of the Otaniemi station immediately.
Police, however, did not divulge the identities of the suspect and the targeted person and the reason behind the attempted attack.
The police are investigating into the incident as attempted aggravated assault.
