10 killed in road mishaps in Finland in April

A total of 10 people were killed and 209 others injured in 179 road accidents in Finland in April 2025, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of fatalities was one higher and number of persons injured 23 higher than in April 2024.

Out of the deceased April 2025, six travelled by passenger car, one by motorcycle, one was pedestrian and one cyclist.

In addition, one other road user was killed.

Among those who died, six were men and four women.

Meanwhile, 42 people were killed and 722 others injured in 588 road accidents in Finland in January-April period.

The number of deaths was two lower and the number of persons injured 17 lower than in the corresponding period of 2024.
