Two persons were killed in separate incidents of shootings in Helsinki and Porvoo early Wednesday, police said.
In Helsinki, the murder took place when a man came under a gun attack in a private residence at Pikku Huopalahti area at about 12:40 a.m.
The victim sustained severe bullet wounds and died on the spot.
Responding to an alarm police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the residence.
The deceased was 50 years old.
Police arrested two people- a man of 59 years old and woman of 26 years old- as suspects of the murder.
Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of the victim and the suspects and the reason behind the murder at the preliminary stage of the investigation.
Meanwhile, in Porvoo, a man was killed when another man attacked him with a firearm inside an apartment building at Kevätkumpu area early Wednesday morning.
Responding to an alarm, police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the deceased of his early 30s.
Police arrested the suspect, a man of his 50s in connection with the murder.
Police did not disclose the identities of the victim and the suspect but said that they knew each other.
They are investigating into the case to find out the reason behind the murder.
