Three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Virrat and Enontekiö on Saturday, police said.
The first accident took place at about 4:40 a.m. when a private car skidded off the Hauhuuntie road and collided with roadside trees in Virrat, a municipality under Pirkanmaa region.
Two persons- one man and one woman- who were in the car died on the spot.
The car was going to the direction of south from Virrat and the accident occurred when it crossed the Hauhuuntie intersection.
Responding to an automatic alert came from a mobile phone police and rescue service people rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Police, however, did not divulge detail identities of the deceased.
After the preliminary investigation, police said that the weather condition was good and road was dry.
Meanwhile, a man was killed in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident in Enontekiö, a municipality under Lapland region on Saturday morning.
The accident took place when the ATV turned turtle on the road in a forest area at Hetta village in the locality.
Driver of the ATV, a man of his 60s was killed on the spot in the accident.
Responding to an alarm from another person, who was passing through the road, Police and rescue service people rushed to the spot recovered the body from under the vehicle.
The Accident Investigation Board and police are investigating into the incidents to find out the circumstances surrounding them and get more information about the accidents.
