Four people were injured in a stabbing incident near a shopping center in Tampere on Thursday afternoon, police said.
The incident took place at about 4:20 p.m. when the miscreant attacked them with knife near the Ratina shopping complex in Tampere city centre.
Responding to an alarm police rushed to the spot and arrested a Finnish man, the alleged attacker from nearby area.
All the victims are adults and their injuries were not life threatening.
Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of the suspect and the victims and the reason behind the attack could not be known.
Police did not suspect any link to terrorism or racial motives of the attack at the preliminary stage of the investigation.
They are investigating into the incident as four suspected attempted murders.
The police will hold a press conference on Friday to describe detail in this regard.
