An employee of a restaurant was injured when a miscreant attacked the employee with sharp weapon inside the restaurant in Oulu, a municipality under North Ostrobothnia region on Friday afternoon, police said.
The incident took place at about 2:00 p.m. when the man was creating disturbance in the restaurant at the city centre area.
As the staff members of the restaurant tried to stop him, at certain stage, he attacked one of the employees with a knife and left the scene.
Responding to an alarm, police rushed to the spot and conducted extensive search at the locality and arrested the attacker from Torikatu area immediately after the attack.
Police, however, did not divulge the detail identities of the victim and suspect.
Police are investigating into the case as attempted murder.
