NBI continues probe into Eura helicopter crash

The police have interviewed most of the eyewitnesses to the helicopter accident in Eura on May 17, said the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday.

The NBI is investigating the course of the events together with the Southwestern Finland Police Department, the Safety Investigation Authority Finland (OTKES) and the Estonian authorities.

The NBI continued the investigation of the accident caused by the collision of two helicopters, and the events preceding the accident.

Five persons who died in the accident have been removed from the scene for forensic examination.

The interviews of the eyewitnesses will continue this week.

Any persons who witnessed the incident and have photos or videos of the accident are urged to contact the NBI.

All five people onboard killed after two helicopters crashed at Kauttua area in Eura, a municipality in Western Finland on May 17.
