President Alexander Stubb on Saturday said that the ceasefire suggested by the US and approved by Ukraine will be unconditional and the puck is in the Russian zone.
Stubb made the remarks after participating in a virtual meeting of leaders on Ukraine hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“The ceasefire – suggested by the US and approved by Ukraine – does not contain any ifs or buts, it is unconditional,” the President wrote in a post on his social media platform X after the meeting, adding that the puck is in the Russian zone.
He also said that a coalition of willing states is united and determined to achieve a lasting and just peace for Ukraine.
Leaders of Ukraine, Canada, Australia, New Zealand also joined the meeting in addition to leaders of different European Union countries.
The meeting was a follow-up to the summit on Ukraine hosted by Starmer in London on 2 March 2025.
