A child has drowned in Vuosaari beach in Helsinki on Saturday afternoon, police said in a press release.
The incident took place at about 4:30 p.m. when the 15-year-old child went to swim in the water at Kallahdenniemi area.
Responding to an alarm, Rescue Service people, Finnish Coast Guard and police rushed to the spot and conducted extensive search.
They recovered the body after about 45 minutes from the nearby area.
Police did not divulge detail identity of the deceased but said that they did not suspect any crime link to the incident.
Police are investigating into the incident to find out the reason behind the death.
