A Russian man with military background, who entered into Finland illegally in June this year, has been deported to Russia on Friday, local media reported, quoting the North Karelia Border Guard.
The Border Guard said that the authority released information about deportation of the particular case because claims about background of the person were circulated publicly during the summer.
The Border Guard, however, did not tell anything about the accuracy of the claims but confirmed that he had military background.
Earelier in July this year, the national broadcaster Yle reported that the Border Guard arrested a Russian national who had served in the Wagner group and his first name is Yevgeny.
The North Karelia Border Guard on June 17 arrested him from Kitee, a municipality in Eastern Finland near Russian border.
